The next day Deacon felt almost back to normal. He showered and dressed for work that morning. Then he heard Sierra giggle and noticed Brooke with her at the bottom of the stairs. She was dressed in the cutest light purple sundress from Old Navy Baby. He said" Well don't my two favorite girls look beautiful this morning." Brooke smiled and said "You must be feeling better." He said" I have a few aches but i think i can work today." Brooke said" Well then we will see you later sweetie." He kissed her and kissed the baby and headed to work. Whip greeted him with " Oh you decided to get off your deathbed and come in." Deacon replied" Whipple don't push it today." Whip said" Oh well i have a meeting with Amber anyway." Deacon nodded as he closed their office door and went down the hall.
He was working on some contracts for Eric when his door opened. He looked up and found Bridget there. He said" Well hello again." She said" I just wanted to tell you that i signed the final divorce papers at my attorney's." He nodded. She said" You know for what its worth there were good times." He said" Yeah there were."
She left as he worked silently for a while. He had heard she was seeing CJ Garrison and hoped he made her happy. Bridget deserved that much at least.
He dialed Megan and said" Hey what do you want for lunch , secretary of mine?" She laughed and said" How about a steak salad from The Insomnia?" He said" Well order them takeout and i'll buy." She was quiet and then realized whay he didnt want to go there and eat. She said" Glad you're feeling better." He said" Thanks me too." Then she hung up and he made a few calls .
He heard in the lobby "Well hello Brooke." "My she's getting adorable." He knew that voice. Ridge was working that charm of his with her as usual. Deacon thought it was old and tired but he left it alone. Brooke said"I am here to see Deacon actually so excuse me Ridge." Then she walked in to his office. He said" Hello Baby." She said" It was Sierra's checkup day so i thought i would bring her by." "She got a shot so she's a little bit unhappy." Deacon took his daughter and said" So Princess you got a shot today?" The baby smiled at him. He said" Well Daddy will give you a nice warm bath when he gets home." He kissed her forehead. Then Brooke said " I'll see you at home becuase i want to see if she will take a nap." He nodded and kissed her on the lips. Brooke said"Gee you usually do that at home not here." He replied"Just felt like appreciating the woman i love."
